One of the main attractions of the Coquimbo Region is the Fray Jorge National Park. A visit to this sub-tropical forest will become an unforgettable experience, not only for it's semi-desert location but also for it's flora and fauna existing in the area. One of the most distinguished flora is the olivillo, an evergreen tree, which is a native species of Chile and the key component of the captivating forest. Los tallados y dibujos en roca son muy variados y realmente espectaculares, encontrándose figuras antropomorfas de mas de 1.200 años de antigüedad, llamas o camélidos, aves, monos y perros.
